Published with a challenge item!

Wow - I totally forgot all about this!! I had a project picked up for the Layout Blueprints 2 book that is finally almost ready to release. I just went to the website to see the preview and my project is in the preview AND...I used Magic Mesh, lol! Even funnier - same color as I used on two of the items I did for the challenge a few weeks ago!

Anyone else getting any of our challenge products published yet? This is how we can bring them back, after all! :) Be sure to let us know if you do! I can always pull your projects from the blog for this too, if needed!

Welcome to the Bringing it Back Challenge!

As all paper crafters learn at some point, scrapbooking is a "trendy" hobby. Lots of new products, lots of trends, lots of "must have" items that are forgotten weeks later. And we have ALL bought into a product trend at some point that faded away. Some of us (cough, yes, I'm definitely speaking for myself here) have impossibly large collections of "untrendy" items that we would love to use anyways! And so that's what we're doing here. Every Friday there will be a new product challenge and we'd love to have you play along! We're here to find new uses for those older items, pair them with new products, whatever it takes to break them out and USE them! Who knows - we may even bring them back as a "new trend!

A few notes. You are more than welcome to jump in to ANY challenge - as I get new entries for a category I will add it to the original post and make a notation in the post title as to when the last addition was made so that you can see that there is something new. You can either link your project in a post comment or email it to me at michaelcsmommy@yahoo.com. I will link to whatever gallery or blog you would like, please let me know! Check back often for inspiration!!

One last thing regarding spam. I do have comment moderation turned on, however it does not stop everything. Please, if you are linking directly in a comment, make sure you say a little something about the project or challenge so that it's totally obvious that you are actually playing along. If you see a comment with a link and it doesn't look like it belongs, please don't click on it (good advice for any blog you visit!). We had an example tonight, it just said "click here" and the here was a link that was actually spyware. I will always move all project pictures to the main post, so unless you REALLY have to see it right that minute, give me a little time and I'll get it to the main post where you won't have to click anywhere.
